I have already discussed what is LAMP , so please refer to my earlier post .
For all lazy people ,I am giving the link to the post .
In this post , I would be describing the process of installing LAMP on Ubuntu . I currently have Ubuntu 8.1 , apache 2.2 , php 5 .
I am explaining the process in a very simple manner starting from the basics . As being new to this , I know how difficult it is to do anything on Linux . It took me a lot of time to understand fully LAMP and then install it ( thanx to the poor speeds by ION) .
Read on to know the procedure
I saw this word recently on Wiki and so thought to find more about it . Here is my finding ,
A stub is an article containing only a few sentences of text which is too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject, but not so short as to provide no useful information. Sizable articles are usually not considered stubs, even if they lack wikification or copy editing. With these articles, a cleanup template is usually added instead of a stub template. Note that if a small article has little properly sourced information, or if its subject has no inherent notability, it may be deleted or be merged into another relevant article.
Actually, a definition can be said to be a stub .

When we view life from an acute angle , it appears to be a collection of clumsy events huddled together in an extraordinarily strange manner. It is not at all a bed of roses but also has thorns which provide it a beautiful contrast ,a sweetness entangled with adventure, fun, happiness, sorrow and in fact housing all the elements of our emotions.

You must all have heard rumours of USB3.0 of being released etc etc. Read on to know the truth .
Actually , USB 3.0 was demonstrated by Pal Gelsinger at the Intel Developer Forum on 18 September 2007 . The USB 3.0 Promoter Group announced on November 17, 2008, that version 1.0 of the specification has been completed and is transitioned to the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), the managing body of USB specifications. This move effectively opens the spec to hardware developers for implementation in future products.
There are many new features like maximum transfer rate of % GiB/s ( its not GB , refer to my post of Kib ) , new power management features like idle sleep ,suspend states .
On the right you can see the symbol . Notice the ‘SS’ written .

The eclipse will occur right in the middle of the republic day parade .I guess people would be still watching the parade rather than the eclipse .
The annular solar eclipse, the first in the year, will be visible across the world on January 26 beginning from southern parts of Africa, Antarctica, South East Asia and Australia.
The Solar Eclipse will begin at 10.26 am and ends at 4.30 pm on Monday passing through various stages. At its greatest phase, the eclipse will be 92.9 per cent and last for 7.51 minutes .
For those of you who do not know what an eclipse is read this
According to N Sriraghunandan Kumar Secretary Planetary Society, India, the annular eclipse occurs when the sun and moon are exactly inline but the apparent size of the moon is smaller than that of the sun. Hence the sun appears as a very bright ring or annulus surrounding the outline of the Moon, he said.
I know its too early but I will try to get up and watch the eclipse . If possible , I will upload some pics .
